Overview

This comprehensive course is intended for animal care professionals, veterinary students, and health practitioners looking to expand their understanding of a canine body.

Profound knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for any career in animal healthcare.  To properly understand how an animal grows, moves, digests foods, gets ill and recovers from an injury, we must first understand how healthy organs and organ systems function together to sustain life.

The course represents a systemic study of anatomy and physiology and includes an in-depth review of all body systems. A particular focus is placed on a locomotion system and biomechanics of the spine and limbs. Students will also learn the pathophysiology of the common canine diseases encountered through injury or aging.
